You can appear before the court and request time for filing your Written Statement.(written reply in your concept) The court will definitely gives a time, for filing your written statement. Or engage an advocate on your behalf. Or ask the Lok Adalat court, to pass a installment decree by paying Rs.5000/- on every month.

If case is filed by the bank against you in the court, you appear in the case . You will get time to file your written statement, you can file your WS and also you can sought time to pay the loan. You can also approach the bank for one time settlement.

The Lok Adalat is for mutual and amicable settlement.
You can ask for the time as deemed suitable to you.
If you have decided to settle before the date in Lok Adalat visit the Bank at your location and negotiate your terms.
Bank is only interested in getting in its money and may agree to get principle amount and may agree to waive off interest and penalties.
However You should obtain NOC and also an undertaking in writing from Bank that it shall remove the delinquency, red flags and default from CIBIL, Equifax, Experian, bad customers list of the bank etc………….and this settlement shall have no adverse effect in your loan taking ability on routine rates applicable to all good customers, in future.
