Plz help!!

i have applied for divorce on contest and the notice is served to him through the court.but im in a situvation that i will not be able to be present in the court on the first day the case comes to hearing. i have a mnc company interview on the same day.so what shall i do now? is it mandate that the petitioner should be present in court on first day of hearing?. plz suggest.

Even though it is mandatory that Petitioner should remain present on the first dayof hearing, anybody on behalf of you can remain present before the Court and request the Court that because of interview, you cannot remain present on that day and take the next date for hearing on oral submission on which you will remain present.

Yes it is mandatory that the petitioner must be physically present before the court on the first hearing, but as you said you have an interview in a mnc, anyone on behalf of your can present before the court and made a request to give another hearing date as you have an interview today in a mnc, court will grant you another date .
