Police took signature on false statement

In one FIR, police incharge wrote statement himself on a simple paper and took signature of the accused. When the accused requested to write the whole matter then the incharge refused to do so and forcefully took the signature. Now the police is about to file a chargesheet. Now, what is the significance of this statement and what the accused can do now?
