If a lady(wife) filed 498A compliant. Who will take case on behalf of her in Tamil Nadu ? Is it public prosecutor(PP) or her hired lawyer ?
There are permanent pp and govt appointed pp(political background) so usually who will take it ?
If it is taken by PP, can she file request to transfer it to her lawyer ?

If matter is before the Magistrate court, then Police prosecutor, which are permanantly appointed.
She can not appoint private lawyer in place of P.P., But she has right to appoint a lawyer to assist the P.P.
