Property

Dear Sir,

My wife has filed 498A case against myself and my family members. I have filed divorce petition on basis of mental cruelty. She is staying with her parents along with my minor son.

I don't have any property registered on my name but my mother have property (self acquired property) registered on her name.

I would like to know :

1. Whether my wife will claim in her mother-in-law self acquired property after divorce or not.

2. After my mother's demise, will my wife and son will claim amount from my mother's ancestral property.

Actually, i don't want to give property to my son and wife.

Kindly advise how to protect my mother property.

she cannot claim anything now, but in future when u get a share from your mothers property, she will go for a claim, but now your wife can claim maintenance for herself and son.
