Property fraud

Respected experts  kindly advise,

Token  ADVANCE of 2 lakhs  rs was given  towards purchasing  a vacant plot. Later it was found the plot was already sold by bank through DRT auction but sale certificate not issued yet.The seller concealed these facts and took advance by giving token advance receipt   .what are the best options to get back the advance as the seller is delaying refund.

Mr.Balaram,

you can do two things; 1) lodge a complaint u/s 420 before the jurisdictional police, initiate criminal action;  2)  File a suit for recovery of money on the basis of  receipt he issued after taking your money, through a civil court.
