Property Right after converting

 Hi,

I want to convert to Christianity, by birth I am a hindu, I am working in Spain and want to marry a girl from my office.

When I told my mother about it, she told me if I convert to other religion, she will ask court to remove my rights from by dads property. The property is not of my grandfather but My dad made it. The land is on 3 people name My mother / younger brother and me.

Another Complex we just constructed, for it I have send all the money from Spain and we took a loan on my Mothers name, and I am repaying it. As my other brother is not on job.

By dad didn’t make is will.

She told me under Hindu Undivided  family act she will ask court to remove my name from property.

She can't do so and there is no law in india to take away interest of any person 4m including inheritance rights on conversion.

Dont worry law cannot do so and ur right in property is safe but she want to stop you so try to listen her reson for stoping u and try to convience her. Coz change of religion is very big step and if it will cut you from your family then you have to think twice.

Good luck.
