Good day all
Could any one tell me the present eligibility or right for women who married before 1989 for the ancestors property and rights?
Is she has the full right for the property as same as son ? After 1989 yes both son and daughter has full right,what if daughter married before 1989?

If it is ancestral property she has right if it is self acquired no rights.

The latest amendment to the referred law as well as apex court rulings say that the law has retrospective effect, thus the daughter's date of marriage is not a bar anymore.
She will be entitled to a share in the ancestral property in the share of her father's share.
