Property settlement

My father have two properties in Chennai. One land with residential building and the other one is vacant land. We are three brothers and myself is elder and married having two children. My elder brother us married and have one child. Younger yet to be married . My father wants to give the vacant land to me and I would like to start construction of my house there by taking a home loan What are the formalities to be fulfilled to get the vacant land transfer in my name legally. Also the land with building will be shared between my brothers and settlement for the same will be decided later. Request experts opinion please.

your father can gift the property to you by a registered gift deed.once that is done you can mutate the property on your name and proceed with your plans

YOU SAID TO FATHER  TO GIVE YOU IN YOUR PORTION AS GIFT DEED . THEN YOU CAN BELONGS LEGAL ENTITY OF THE LAND
