Does anyone know how property tax is calculated in Chennai area?
I bought a 3BHK apartment last year and I got my first property tax statement from the corporation and it is about Rs.8000. My apartment's built up area is 1280 sq.ft with a UDS of 800 sq.ft. I somehow have a feeling that the property tax calculation is a bit too higher for me. In case it is so, how do I get this corrected? Can someone help?
