Protection officer - dv case

Hi All,

Just curious to know @ Protection Officer ( Someone already asked his duties).

In My case when wife filed DV case Judge wrote "Issue Notice to the Respondent through Protection Officer".

Does this means Judge accepted the case and just told PO to serve summons or PO has to investigate.

I never met any PO nor anyone called me.

In this case is it necessary for the PO to submit DIR ( Domestic Incident Report ).?

In my case there is no DIR .

Kindly guide me can i use "NO DIR " in my favour......

Also is it allowed that wife gives 1 address in 1 court and other address in other court ?

Only on admitting the case summons will be issued.  In your case summons is issued means it is admitted.

Brother this happens in two steps -

When wife files fresh DV application, court will forward the complaint for preparation of domestic incident report and once DI report is submitted by protection officer court may issue summons. Issuing summons happens after DI report is prepared. Sometime if protection officer office is located in different city then court may honor such request via baliff. It all depends on judge what is the order on how summons should be served. DI report is never in our favour and also don't get panic by reading their submission. They can ask as many as or as much as they want but it is upto court how to decide ?

P.S. My DV Case was recently filed and i have gone through these procedure.
