In a divorce judgment, the District Family Court ordered the husband to pay Rs 20 lakhs to the wife along with divorce and put the burden of alimony on the husband's house. The husband has appealed to the High Court for a stay on that order. The High Court will reach a conclusion after hearing both the parties. The husband is still paying the pre-determined maintenance amount to the wife. But in the meantime, the wife has sent a notice for recovery of Rs 20 lakhs from the house through the court. husband has only said property he lives in.

You can approach high court with an urgent petition for temporary stay order to stall the recovery proceedings.
