Regarding quashing of fir

Does High Court have powers to quash FIR and Set aside conviction granted by lower court if both the parties have settled dispute?

Yes. The High Courts in most cases quash the FIR and criminal proceedings if both parties reach amicable settlement. However that is not allowed where charges of murder, rape, docoity and such serious offences are involved. In matrimonial disputes this formula is very much successful.
