Relinquishment deed urgent

Hi,

 

Property was under my grandfather's name,after loan accomplishment, My father, and other two aunts have signed the relinquishment deed in favour of my Uncle in front of two witnesses . And my father expired in 2010. Can i claim my right in the property as the relinquishment deed is in favour of my Uncle.

 

Please respond asap.

Yes you can. At the demise of your grandfather - his children get the property equally however each branch does not get the property absolutely and as self acquired seperate property, but in the shape of ancestral property that they furthe share with their children in turn. Hence your father could have at best relinquished his share of the property but not yours.
