Resignation by email from the committee is valid or not

Hi Team,

Is it possible to give resignation from the committee by a committee member ?
If Yes then no issue but incase the answer is No then can you please guide us what will happen if we have accepted the resignation provided in the email. We don't have signed hard copy of resignation of a committee member who have resigned from the committee.

With Regards,
Vinay Patel

The proper course is immediately issuing a registered notice demanding for such hard copy as confirmation and reporting this to Sub registrar and seeking his directives and involvement to settle the dispute.

Very aptly clafrified by Shri G.L..N.Prasad, a small note of caution there should be no resolution in any previous AGM permitting resignation by email.

There is no resolution in any AGM. And now we have accepted the resignation which is via email. Now that committee member refusing that resignation and he is challenging our decision of accepting the resignation. What can we do in this case

When the resignation has accepted you have to stand on your point and let the resigned member say that it is not his mail and it is his headache either to withdraw or do some other action in writing.as protest denying such resignation through e mail.

Refer the matter to Registrar of societies and seek his opinion.

In future, instead of fishing for guidance, inform full facts so that members can provide comprehensive guidance.
