Check your appointment letter carefully. If the notice period is 30 days, then your service will deem to end after completition of 30 days. There is no law to hold you beyond the period of 30 days. Make sure that you can prove that you have submitted resignation on xxx day, if required in future.
Hoever, ignoring the legal aspect, you can try to convince your HR by whatever means you prefer for the time being as the situation is too immature to give you any further legal advice.

Please remember that email of audit team can not be a condition for your resignation. Complete the 30 days notice period and then stop going to office and then ask for full and final settlement through registered post.
