Rti - to get court case docs -

sir,

i want to file an RTI with a district court in tamilnadu to get some court case docs. this is regarding a case that my dad had field back in 90s in related to a family property.

at this point , i dont have the case no. what details needs to be furnished to get the case documents.

you should go for an advocate or any court babu and advise because you have not detail ......I think it is very tedious job nobody can your help without the single detail or court no. and etc.

You can try by making an RTI application giving the names of the litigants, details of the property under litigation, the court where it was filed and approximate dates of court hearings and the judgment etc. For things such as very old birth or death certificates, or copies of documents from the office of the Registrar of Assurances there will be a search fee depending on how old the document is. Besides making the application, meet the clerical staff in the court and offer them attractive tips.
