Salary deductions

Hi

I am acting as an Assistant Professor in Department of IT in a most reputed Engineering College of Kolkata. I receive my salary as per AICTE 6th Pay Commission and there is no dispute in my current salary.

In November 2011, I received three special increments from my employer and these special increments are beyond the recommendation of AICTE 6th Pay Commision. So from November 2011 I am getting salary as per AICTE 6th pay commission + 3 special increments. In 2012 July I received yearly increments and DA hikes as usual on the basis of the above mentioned salary.

On this background, will it be legal, if my employer withdraws my three increments which I am receiving since last 9 months? Can I ask for legal help if my salary gets deducted in this way?

erroneoly granted promotion andincrement can be withdrawn after isue of SCN.  Otherwise this will be treated as penalty of reduction of pay.
