Second marraige

hi i have a doubt on second marraige

my friends first wife who sent dcree of divorce to my friend by this time my friend is planning to get second marraige without getting a divorce can he do like this? are he should wait till he gets divorced from her first wife ? if he marrys second one without divorsing first one what all the problems he has to face ?

Without getting divorce from first wife marrying to second is not advisable, tell your friend first take proper divorce from his first wife only then re marry with second otherwise he will be booked under, bigamy a criminal offence u/s 494ipc punished by imprisonment for 7 heard and fine , and also as per hindu marriage act section 11 his second marriage is null and void , and also her second wife can file a criminal case u/s 495/496 ipc against him .
