Yes  the format of marriage certificate is common for all.

I differ a bit my opinion here,

Marriage can be registered by hiding the fact of previous marriage as there won't be any Investigation is made for this situation. 

BUT There is no point hiding the fact of previous marriage while filling up the marriage registeration form.

To Avoid problems which may come up later on. i.e US Immegration, Passport Renewal etc., One should not hide details of previous marriage.

Further, The details of your status "divorced" is not going to be shown on your Marriage Certificate. 

So it would be lawful and good to write truth while filling up the form of marriage registration.

nothing else is accepted by US counsellate.

Look at the acceptable evidence which you required to produce about your previous marriage

If you hide the status of previous marriage and God Forbid there are some complications in this marriage too, your spouse can use "hiding material fact" as a weapon against you.

When you can be truthful and nothing adverse happens, why lie?

Like registration of marriage, is there anything like unregistration of it also? looks a funny query, but just in case...

Is it illegal to hide previous marriage information? Please explain.  As per muslim law you hide  or u don't the marriage taking place is valid. So how does it matter if the previous marriage information is hidden or not.
