service outsource by central govt.

Dear All,

I want to know about some facts

If a central govt org in Gujarat, outsource computer operations (related to servers and workstations in scientific lab - not  a data enrty work) related work to a company, wht laws and regulation to be followed by both companies. And wht amount should be taken as minimum wages. What can we do if the central govt org denies for a minimum wages to be given to opertors? The central govt org always takes the lowest quoted company, that degrades the salary of operators.

Thanking you all,

Jagdish Pandya.

the minimum wages pay scale for a skilled category as prescribed by the central government would be applicable. You can check this out from the labour department's website labout.nic.in

The Service Outsource Committe of the the organisation denies to keep a minimum salary to quote, it still srgues to go for a L1- lowest quoted company. You can think wht will happen f somebody will quotes for Rs 1000 per person? Thank you for the reply.

Loweest quoter is bound to compromise labour laws.  Govt officials by outsourcing are putting their neck in trouble as principal employer's liability can apply on Govt and criminal liability can be personally on the officials who are direct or indirect party to such violations.
