1. Does Payment of Wages Act, 1936 (amendment act, 2005) covers services rendered by employees of Chartered Accountants, Company Secretaries  Cost Accountants and Lawyers ???

the preamble to the act says...."An Act to regulate the payment of wages to certain classes of employed persons"........since C.A's/C.S and like r not employed, their services are availed, they r not employees of any organisation....


as far as employees of any professional firm is concerned..the term 'industrial or other establishment' doesn't include firms of professionals........so it will not be covered under the said act........
