I bought a pair of shoes of a reputed company. they assured me that the shoes are genuine but they were torned of in 4-5 months of usage. when i asked the shopkeeper he said that only sole of the shoe is covered under warranty, nothing else. No document was provided to me which shows that the product has any warranty as given with electronics products. Is the shopkeeper/company liable to replace ?

Sir, I guess you have collected the warranty card supplied by the manufacturer. If you have, and if it does not specify any part of the shoes a warranty, then I think the manufacturer can be sued.
But in case if you have not collected the warranty card, then the manufacturer is not liable to replace your shoes.

They havnt provided any warranty card.

Then you cannot sue the manufacturer. Sir, it is same with electronic goods too. If we do not have a warranty card issued by the manufacturer, will they replace goods?
