A society shall be formed with the objects of Diffusion of knowledge, charitable purpose etc., for the public at large without Profit motive. And a society shall be with not less than seven (7) members.  there will be joining fee with annual/monthly contribution of amount as decided by the members. No member is entitle for any remuneration.  but the society can collect funds/gifts/donations with issue of receipt and accountable.  so contact at District Registrar office of your district for other details.  you can obtain format of byelaw through online.  after preparing the byelaw, it shall submitted through Mee-seva center to the District Registrarfor registration. No need to go to registrar office.  If the byelaw is found correct, you will get registration certificate through mee-seva.  otherwise it will be rejected.

At first a group of persons come together. Then they form a society. Subsequently the Society is registered. For the purpose of registration the society should have what is called 'constitution", "byelaws" or a set of rules known by any other name. The founding members draft the byelaws. While drafting such byelaws they can incorporate any such special privilege for the founding members, as they deem necessary, for a limited period.
