Stamp duty to be paid on the basis of "allotment letter"

Can  I pay Stamp Duty   on the Basis of “Allotment  Letter” of  a Registered Co- Op. Housing Society in Maharashtra State.// In 1992, I Have Purchased Residential Flat, for which I have only “ALLOTMENT LETTER” from Registered Housing  Society, and Share Certificate of Co-Op. Housing Society, in Maharashtra State.  // I Do not have Registered Sale Deed. Or Registered “ Agreement to Sale” or any other legal document.  // But, the property is in my possession, Since  beginning .  Now, I wish to pay Stamp Duty on the basis of Allotment Letter to the Govt. of Maharashtra.   Also  I have following documents  of the same. : // 1)  “ NO DUES CERTIFICATE” From Maharashtra State Housing Finance Corporation , who had given  loan for purchase of this flat through our Housing Society.

2)  Property Tax Yearly Paid receipts (from Municipal Corporation.) All the Taxes paid by me. //3)  Evidence of Maintenance Charges paid to housing Society _through Bank_( Against  this society has not issued any legal Receipts  to members.).  // Please advice  CAN I  PAY STAMP DUTY

Yes, u pay a stamp duty as per today government rate so u enquire at registrar office for that.

First u enquiry for the stamp duty is compulsory on allotment letter or in which year applicable this law for pay stamp duty in allotment letter or possession letter in Maharastra State.

As per the prevailing practice you will not be able to pay unless the same is on stamp paper or impressed with the adhesive stamp (though theoretically it can be paid) but practically no as mentioned above.

I think the reason for the same is ascertainment of definite date which is there in both the stamp paper or on the adhesive stamp.
