Status of divorcee

A female married to male is called his wife. Spouses after their divorce are called Divorcees. Therefore, a single female after divorce is a Divorcee and she would be an independent woman in equal capacity as any other single female. A “divorcee wife” has the same status as a single female after divorce, in the eyes of the law as well as otherwise (being a synonym). Hence, a “divorcee wife” is entitled to all the beneficial provisions of Maintenance or Alimony, like the single female after divorce.

There is no judgment required as it is merely a point of language and nothing else.
