I am Hemant Kumar (yeah this is the name mentioned in all my certificates). Due to some personal issues, my Mom got seperated from my father (not legally). It was just like she took me and my broether along with her and we lived with our Maternal Grand Father. My Father is no more in this world. Now, I wish to add my Grand Father's surname to my name instead of my Father's surname. Is it possible and legal? We are residents of Lucknow. What will be the procedure to get the surname of my grandfather appended to my name.
Once I get this done. I will get that surname added to my wife's name. I am yet to register my marriage in the court.
