Suspect family convert the daughters death into suicide case

Legal Case Discussion,

I got engaged to a girl and after 1 month her sister committed suicide. Her family members say that, they don’t know the reason why did she do that but, may be due to studies.

I continued the relation in spite of such weird incident. The relation lasted for 8 months after this incident. But, I couldn’t digest the reasoning they were giving for her suicide. Hence, I had no choice but to end the relation.

But, no I feel that, I should register a case against her family. Under Section 309 and bribing the local police officer.

Facts but, no evidence: Her father bribed the police officials to make an illegal death certificate to avoid the hazel of post-mortem report. I could get the details of her suicide but, I feel that, something is wrong somewhere. Hence, I want to take a legal way to do so.

Hence, please suggest should I take a legal path to get the answers or there is not much strength in the case.

Whatever happened was miserable. But you should inspect before taking any step. Else, it might lead to the other family getting entangled into a lot of mess. You should have tried to dig out facts from your fiancee before breaking up. Now there are little means for you to find truth. It could very well be a suicide.

BTW, IPC 309 deals with person who is alive. This will be U/s 306, 503, 118 and others as evidence is dug out.
You've also said that bribing the local police officer.

Death Certificate is issued by a Municipal Corporation. Did they bribe the doctor to issue Medical Death Certificate to cremate her?

Only and Only if you're 100% sure about the crime (make sure you don't falsely implicate them. You could be confusing their shyness to discuss suicide with criminal intent):  Write written statement to S.H.O. and mark copy to Zonal D.C.P office. This will force S.H.O. to immediately swing into action and start investigating the case.
