If it is a registered trust, the Constitution/Articles of Association of the trust will have provisions to appoint new persons as trustees. You will have to follow them. In most public trusts, the trustees are elected from among members. There will also be special requirements for members to become trustees. Again I say that one can reply your question only if one sees the Constitution of the trust.

It is a registered trust with an objective to carry out religious activities It has a provision for x..no. trustees with a board quorum of 5 trustees for resolution .It also has power to nominate trustees on behalf of continuing trustees on account of hardship for a limited period.
My question is if one trustee is inducted in place of deceased trustee another is inducted on a ccount of nominating would a board resolution to the effect suffice? or any other procedure reqd legally
thnx

Are there members other than trustees?  It is necessary to see your registered constitution.
