A meeting was held between the Residents Welfare Association and the CEO-cum-Secretary, HIMUDA
(Himachal Urban Development Authority) regarding to waive off the interest (50%) of the outstanding maintenance charges of the colony in the year 2007. But HIMUDA did not informed the decision whether
the interest will be waived off or not. Association wrote numerous letters but no reply. Eventually, the information was sought under the RTI Act and e-Samadhan, which was supplied to us in the year 2013, informing the association that there is no provision to waive OFF the intt. HIMUDA did not conveyed the decision for not waiving OFF the intt. for approx. six years. Recently we have conveyed the HIMUDA authority that we will not pay the Intt. for the six years as the decision of not waiving off the intt. was not intimated
to us.In this regard,
what are the chances we have to our stand ?
What legal action we can take to address our grievances ?
