There is no law. But you go on convincing her why you want only one child. Beyond certain limit, if you try to convince which may turn into force, she may violently retaliate.

Rajiv.... it is nice to know you dont want to have another kid even after having first daughter....
Just talk to her and help her realise that these days even daughter's make parents proud... may be she will understand.

Hello Rajiv and Naveen,
The law has already ruined the marital relationship by giving sharp legal swords to husband and wife to fight with each other.
Why should we allow law to further ruin the marital relationship by asking legal procedure to get into the most intimate matters of couple having a child.
This should be resolved only by husband and wife.
In this process, let them fight or argue as much as they want.
Law or any one has no right to interfere here.
Else, the marital relationship will be auctioned in courts and make it much uglier than today.
Hello Rajiv Sir,
Congrats on having a wonderful 2 year old daughter.
Only you can convince your wife or accept to her wish of having another child.
LET US NOT BRING LAW IN BETWEEN A WIFE AND A HUSBAND.
LET US DIVORCE THE LAW FROM THE FAMILY.
Hello Jaya,
You are a woman.
Why do you assume that the wife [the mother of 2 year old daughter] does not like her daughter and want a son?
Rajiv has not mentioned like that anywhere in his query.
What is the crime if a woman wants to have another child?
