What is suit search ?

Can you kindly explain in details what is Suit search in relation to property and where it is done ?

Hi,SHILPI GHOSHAL

The Search regarding the suit is to be done at the Divisional Court, District Court & High Court.

It is to ascertain to whether any suit in relation to the property in question is pending. It can be done by submitting Information Slip at the designated office of the Court who after getting the prescribed fee will make the search and give the report as to the pending suit if any.
