Tooth broken during scuffle is a grivous hurt, wherein the crime is punishable under Section 324 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, on being proved.
Prima facie it is a hypothetical and time pass query, otherwise you must explain as to what is your concern / problem / locus standi ?
M V Gupta (Advocate) 11 October 2021
Whether the tooth is artificial or original, the fact that it is broken shows that the injury has resulted from the severity of the blow given. Hence it becomes a crime punishable under section 324 as mentioned by Shri Vasishtaji. But you have stated that it is broken accidentally. Should we take it that the breaking is not directly due to the hit given to the victim but due to his subsequent falling on the ground? Well, this is a matter for you to prove in your defense.

You have to punish yourself without proper care the teeth. In some cases, it can be considered a dental emergency, so your dentist will be willing to see you quickly, so you can get back to chewing and speaking with ease. Your dentist will evaluate the damage to determine if only a repair is needed or if you will require new dentures to be made.
