Wife left me and afraid

am posting this topic again because am disabled to post in that thread, people are thinking am fake ... i posted my suffering, am frank ...am from AP in our community dowry demands are high ...my  market value was as high as 20 lakhs, thats why my parents and sisters asked them....i know its wrong to take dowry but every one does that and i did same ..whats wrong in that ?? people disguise them self and  give lectures but in reality every one does that . even my sisters have daughters we are supposed to give dowry when they get married...In AP , its very common thing..if we wont take dowry , bride parents think that am wrong, having some disability...its a custom and still every one taking ...in that way we also took 6 lakhs cash, but theres no proof of it ...i just need answer how much alimony i have to pay ?? if its compromise how much i have to??? how to save my parents and sister from that b*tch

whats wrong with taking dowry OMG :(  now read the act and reply if this section is filed on you what would happen to you and your family..... you are taking things very lightly i am suprised at the way you express your remorse . 

 

Indian Penal Code (IPC)

 

Section 498A. Husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty

 

1[498A. Husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty.—Whoever, being the husband or the relative of the husband of a woman, subjects such woman to cruelty shall be pun­ished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years and shall also be liable to fine.

 

Explanation

 

For the purpose of this section, “cruelty” means—

 

(a) any wilful conduct which is of such a nature as is likely to drive the woman to commit suicide or to cause grave injury or danger to life, limb or health (whether mental or physical) of the woman; or

 

(b) harassment of the woman where such harassment is with a view to coercing her or any person related to her to meet any unlawful demand for any property or valuable security or is on account of failure by her or any person related to her to meet such demand.]

 

CLASSIFICATION OF OFFENCE

 

Punishment—Imprisonment for 3 years and fine‑Cognizable if information relating to the commission of the offence is given to an officer in charge of a police station by the person aggrieved by the offence or by any person related to her by blood, marriage or adoption or if there is no such relative, by any public serv­ant belonging to such class or category as may be notified by the State Government in this behalf—Non-bailable—Triable by Magis­trate of the first class—Non-compoundable.

In a compromise the amount is decided mutually between the parties first of all you would need to return the Cash and amounts that you received in marriage and the articles gifts belonging to your wife. 

The alimony could be decided mutually in a mutual divorce.

It is a settlement which is arrived mutually....find a lawyer who has a good past record of settling at a lower rate...
