Is there an age restriction on appointment of inquiry officer under Delhi school education act & rules or by virtue of any ciruclar.

Please do let me know if any one has any information?

I think there should not be any such bar.

Dear Samir,

According to the Terms and  Conditions for Appointing retired Officers as Inquiry Officers, issued by the CVC vide their Memo No. 98/MSC/23, dated 16.09.1999, a retired person appointed as the Inquiry Officer should not be more than 70 years of age as on the 1st July of the year of his empanelment.

So, if the Officer/official is in still in service he can however remain as inquiry officer till the age of his retirement.

Please see if that can help you in any way.

Hello,

Thanks Mr. Tripahti and Mr. Dhingra for your valuable suggestions.

I have perused the Delhi School Education Act & rules and have not come across any such restirction. However, KV sangthan also vide their memo have fixed the age limit of their inquiry officer as 70.

It appears that fixing of age of inquiry officer is the duty of the governing body and in absence of any such rule made by the Directorate of Education, there exist no limit.

Thanks and god bless

Samir
