Domicile certificate in aligarh ---get it self

Dear Everyone,

Government has created new counter in Aligarh "Tahseel" to get domicile certificate individually. Anyone can get it by their own efforts. Following steps to follow:

1. Get Domicile form from counter or stamp seller and fill it along with two passport sized photographs. Rs. 10 from stamp seller or Rs.2 from counter.

2. Get affadevit from stamp seller (alreay will have contents in it only you need to fill this stamp paper). Rs. 30

3. Get affadevit notorsed through laywer. Rs. 10

4. Go to counter and submit it and get your certificate in 20 days. Thanks!!!!!

For each such certificate one has to bear hidden costs..to the vendor, the notary, the advocate, the witnesses and the clerks. Rs 10 non-judicial stamp paper will cost you not less than Rs 30..Notary and advocate who gets the affidavit typed on a legal paper will cost you not less than Rs 120..You may have to another Rs 100 each to two witnesses in the form of State's Gazette officers.

Why the state of UP can't follow the example set by Chandigarh administration where self attested affidavits are accepted by all the govt departments including the Tehsildars?

Hi Haridas,

I am not stamp seller, not advocate, not notary person....I am common man. I shared the procedure with those people who are really willing to get that certification and do not want to make any other person to interrut in the process. I do not know what cost you are talking about...you should understand the essence of the message......which I shared with the community. Even I am not agent of U.P. government. But anyhow government has created counters in the TEHSEEL to get such certification without any tension......Thanks to Government.......We are not here to compare the government processes.......They will take care of their duties....I explained the amount in my first message that I spent during domicile certificate creation...

In TAHSEEL, there are so many agents available they may ask Rs.350 or Rs.400 or even Rs.800.

So do not give that money to him if you have option to take it yourself.!!!

Like Muzaffarpur Riot , corrupt practices in issue of such certificates in not only UP but in rest of the country is a reality. I have olny rated those corrupt babus ..And also given you all an input that such notarised affidavits are not as per law of the land but created by the babus in collusion with corrupt advocates as well as politicians. Chandigarh has got rid of those notarised affidavits long back and can easily be replicated else where including in your state of AP..So knowingly or unknowingly by posting such simple looking post in this site you are trying to be the poster boy of that Tehsil..now that you know do not submit any notarised affidavits and educate others also not to do so..Babus if do not work file a complaint with the ant-corruption dept, if any in UP.
