How to add a surname

hi,

My name is VARUN in all documents i.e. marks sheets, certificate, DL, pan card.

My fathers name is DILRANJAN PRATAP SINGH. I want to ADD a SURNAME with my name as "SINGH' in all future documents like passport n all.

how to do this? will this be accepted in my future documents since my father's name has a surname as "singh" ?? or i have to do some legal formalities ?

One more thing : rescently i got my voter ID card with my SURNAME printed on it.. so will this make my further work easier?

please help!!!!!!

Yes ! Voter ID is valid doc. to include your surname in the earlier aswelas future new documentation.

First do correct your Pan card first. Then it will be easier for you to include in rest all.

Thank u so much for d reply. I wil surely correct my pan card using my Voter ID. are you sure after correcting my pan card and with use of Voter ID, I can apply for the PASSPORT with name VARUN SINGH?? they will not create any issue.. ?
