Legal heir certificate

Hi!

I have been staying at own place in Bangalore since Feb 2006. My Father who was a Central Govt employee at Kozhikode, Kerala shifted with my mother after his retirement during the same period. During a visit to Kerala this year Feb, we lost our Father and the death was registered in Trissur. My address in Bangalore has been given in Death Certificate.

Could somebody advice as on, whether to apply for Legal Heir Certificate In Kozhikode (Where he has a property), Trissur (Where his death was registered) or Bangalore (Where he was residing)?

Also please guide on procedure for applying the same.

Thanks in anticipation

A death certificate issued by the authority only denotes that death has occured to that person. Better to approach at the place where the property exist, but you can also approach at the place where his place of residence is shown.
