I have experienced the similar kind problem & checked the website. If you have the appointment letter showing your salary, then you can file a case with labour court under wages act 1936. Check in internet for more details

Even it is a small amount don't leave it. Fight for it and get it.

It is apparent that your wages has been with held by your employer, which is clearly falls within the scope deducted wages under the Payment of wages Act,  as far as your wages is concerned I think your wages are less than the minimum wages. Contact you labour department in case your employer fall within the scope of Scheduled Employment, obtain the rate of minimum wages prescribed by the State Government and file case under Minimum Wages Act otherwise file application under section 15(2) of the Payment of wages Act. In both case you employer is liable to your wages and a penalty up to 10 times of due wages.

i started working as a electronics company at a small sole proprietor business company from 5rd November, 2008.  director of the company held my one month salary after my resignation . & says that you have lost 26 days salary because you did not given a notice of 30 days but  I have not any information of these type notice

please tell me what is the my next step.

but till date 13/12/2010 haven't received my dues i.e. salary for the days i worked. my point is if i claim for my salary what will be my next course of action.
