Urgent query about power of attorney

Hello,

I have a Indian citizen client who had issued a POA notarized in USA in 1990 while he was there. In USA the notary's registration has 3 years span. The POA where the notary has signed shows his period expires in Dec 1993.

So please let me know if that POA would be considered valid after Dec 1993 as per Indian laws.

Thanks
Jaya

No. For the simple reason that there is no proof whether the power grantor is still alive.

No. After expiry of the said period the said Power of Attorney is not valid.

I don't think the validity expires . Notaries are appointed to acknowledge the fact that they were government appointed witnesses to a document . As long as he had his license at the time of the initial notaries toon , the same would remain valid even after the expiry of the term of the notary

No not valid
