What is the procedure khatha number correction in sale deed

Hi Everyone,

It is glad to meet you all.

I had purchased a residential BDA Property land in Bangalore two years back in 2012 year. This property has running loan with bank on my name now. This Sale Deed has BBMP Khatha No. like XXX3/793. We decided to go for construction and started process recently. As part of this, I had visit BBMP Office for Khatha Transfer and came to know that sale deed has entered Khatha No wrongly and it supposed to be XXX9/793. Even EC also showing this mistake and realized very late.

What is the procedure to get corrected as it is with bank?

Can I do it my own without previous seller presancy?

Your valuable information is really helpful. Please suggest me.

Thanks

File an application with district collector.

These are sensitive matters.  May be a rectification deed is required as the correction is needed in sales deed.  Entrust the work to a professional to avoid problems and get the change legally effected in all records including your sale deed. (Once a house number is given, it may not matter, but it is better to have pucca record, if we know an error)
