Irrespective of the negative in her life, she is a good leader. In fact, her life is a reference book for evry leader. Even the negattives.

Every leader can be criticised one one or the other decisions taken by him/her. Being a woman myself, I really feel proud that considering the population of India, we could atleast have one woman Prime Minister in all these years of Independence. She was the only man in her cabinet as some people say. She had the charisma also to handle the Prime minstership with all the grace and dignity.

without going offensive against any of the Ld. members, i would say Indira Gandhi episode must come to an end now, a lot of politics has been played over it....Anti-Sikh riots, political change, birth of various political directions etc.....but unfortunately most of the times episodes like, emergency and indira murder have been used either to get political mileage out of it or to spread hatred in the society.

m a gr8 fan of NDTV but for the last two days they are broadcasting Anti-Sikh riots history in 1984, it is in fact doing no good to society but infusing hatred in the society.....a common man gets nothing out of all this politics....we should be progressive minded now.

To Rule such a great and vast country with massive population with divergents of language, cultures and with hostile neighbours etc, at times circumstances compels her to take drastic steps in the interest of the country. India has many factors that contribute more towards disintegrations of the country rather than its Unity. I, therefore, personally feels that we can not blamed her alone.

Let us debate? Why was she assassinated? Forget greatness or smallness. Garibi Hatao is great or small? Thirty years down the line Garib has been hataoed. She had moments of glory after liberation of Bangladesh. Having 90000 POWs of Pakistan, she had the godsend opportunity to settle once for all the festering sore of Pakistan. She let is slip by and Pakistan has buried, as expected, the Simla Agreement.

Bhutto said they will eat grass for thousand years but make atom bomb. His daughter is actually the "father" of Pakistani atom bomb by trading atom secrets with North Korea for Missile technology.

Either we stop talking about her or we should look into her all aspects. Selectivity won't help. It is she who said "corruption is an international phenomenon". Maharani Gayatri Devi of Jaipur and Rajmata Vijayraje Scindia, the grandmother of present Minister Jyotiraje Scindia, were kept with hardened criminals in Tihar Jail during Emergency. We elect the leaders as our trustee, to do good to us. They are not doing any favour to us. Therefore, if they have broken our trust for personal glory and power, we have every right to haunt them. Why are we so enamoured of these leaders that we tend to forget and forgive them? One great folly of Rajiv Gandhi in sending Indian Military to Sri Lanka that killed thousands of our brave men there, got himself killed and in return what did we get?

History does not forgive if someone has been charming. That iron man of India Sardar Patel is easily forgotten but the iron lady is remembered. But for him, we would have 650 nations flourishing in India. Is it because of Congress or dynasty that rules India that nothing but only a particular dynasty matters. All of them are Bharat Ratnas.

It is a fact that every leader in the world face criticism one way or the other way. No use of speaking past leaders and past glory of India. We have to march forward and make our country strongest in the world. If we don't do we are responsiable for the future generations.

All Gandhis do good only for the country. LIKE

1. Rajiv Gandhi admitting that only 15 paise out of one rupee reach the common man. Rest goes into the pockets of "power brokers".

2. His son Rahul Gandhi made a slight improvement on his father's statement. Not 15 paise out of 1 rupee, but 5 paise.

3. Next? Not even 5 paise. Wait for next generation.
