Hello Guys,
Please help me . I am in a real bad situation and i do not know
where to go. I have got 498A filed aginst me and the FIR has
been registered. I along with my Mother was accused of asking
for dowry and harrassment.
The police arrested my Mother and she was jailed for one day
before she got her bail. I am not in India at the moment. I am
studying in UK. I am student.
Now, we have filed for the squash in the high court. But since
past 2 months , all we are getting is dates after dates. the
case is not been heard and now postponded till end if the June
end.
My problem is this at the moment: The police officer who has
registered the 498a keeps pressuring my family. He keeps
threatning that he is going to report to the immigration and
spoil my future here in UK where I am currently studying.
When my parents went to the court on the date when our hearing
was due, he came to them and started threatening that we have
filed a case against him and he is going to get a red corner
noticed issued agianst me . I will be deported to india and
prisoned.
Is there any thing that can be done ?
Is there any good divorce lawyer that you can recommend?
What should we do in this case ?
Please help me . Me and my family are going through lots of
mental and emotional stress at this moment. Please please help
me.
