498a quash after settlement

Hello Everyone,

Very happy to find such a forum where i can get valuable feedbacks to proceed. I need guidance from our club to proceed further without any fear and paying extra money. After my marriage, my wife filed DV and 498A following to that I filed Divorce. As per the settlement happen we got divorce and DV got dismissed.

But now the question arises for 498a quash, as it’s a non-compoundable in Karnataka. My Advocate filed 482 quash petition for 498a case before high court of Karnataka, making me as the petitioner and PS, Wife are being the Respondents.

We have submitted our quash petition at High court, BLR filling branch (got the case number), I wanted to know when it will get scrutinized, when I will be called, whether my wife being the respondent will she get any notice from high court to be present for the trail, how to know the next date of hearing, how many days it may take to give judgment.

Thanks in advance.

Suman.

Nowadays every high court showing cause list in their websites respectively. You find out your case number fro the lawyer and browse the same in the concerned high court websites. You willl know case status instantly.

Hello Sir,

Nice to hear the msg from you. I have filed the 482quash at highcourt on 18th june 2013, but this case is still pending as per the status. Where as InterLocutary Appln status says IA for stay.

May i know how many days usually any 482 case will take to come for bench, what is mean by IA for stay at Interlocutary appln status.

Thanks,

Suman
