Hello,

When a person is 18 he is considered as an adult(major). Anyone under the age of 18 is a minor.

Thank you.

Wherever age is mentioned in any document, such age should be mentioned only in completed years. Therefore, if a person mentions his/her age as 18, such a person is giving a message that he/she is a major and not a minor.

However, since it is a border line case, it is better to ask such person to produce proof like valid birth certificate to prove his/her age is in fact 18 years completed and thereby can be considered as Major and capable into any agreement/contract implicating him/herself.

1. It would depend on various circumstances and available documentary evidence.  ONLY birth documents can say that person is 18 years and therefore would be classified as Major, for legal purposes.

Hello,

As per section 3(1) of the Indian Majority Act 1875 every person domiciled in India shall attain the age of majority on completion of 18 years and not before.
When a person is 18 he is considered as an adult(major). Anyone under the age of 18 is a minor.

Hello!

In India, a person becomes a major when he/she turns 18. After becoming 18, they legally become an adult and can be made liable for any crime they commit. According Indian Majority Act, a person becomes a major after he/she attains the age of 18 or more.

Hope this helps you!
