Our cooperative housing society in Pune Maharashtra has finalized the draft financial report of the year 2023-24, i.e., financial year ending 31st March 2024 through their statutory auditor, ie.from the panel of the government authorised auditor.
The MC will be holding the AGM shortly.
We approached the MC to provide us a copy of the draft financial report and to appoint an internal auditor, which is mandatory to audit the financial records of the society as per the bye laws of the Maharashtra Cooperative Housing Society Act, 1960.
Unfortunately, the chairman of our society refused to provide a copy of the financial report and said that it would be discussed in the upcoming AGM.
in view of the above, you are kindly requested to guide and notify us of the legal provisions on this matter.

The details about the financial report will be discussed in the AGM and it will be admitted after a resolution is passed in the meeting.
The members will get an opportunity to review them during the meeting.
There's no reason to accede to your request for perusing the report in advance.
