Higher education by employees

I have rendered service for 16 years as workman with Diploma Qualification in a PSU. I have acquired Bachelor Degree through regular classes. I had applied for permission , but there was no response. I had opted for night shift and rest day as Tuesday instead of Sunday. I have regularly attended my shift without hindering duty or any lapses.
Now I want the Degree to be entered into the service records.
Please guide.

As per your query, it's better that you approach the HR (via mail and then in person) and wait for the response from the same. In case, no satisfactory response is given from the Human Rights Department then you should give a try to approach your company's legal department (via mail) in search of knowing the reason for such failure in duties and all.

Once both of them are consulted regarding the matter, wait for a period of 15days for their response over the same, but in case the departments do not entertain your grievance, then in such a case you should proceed to approach Labor Commissioner of your authorised are or should get a local prudent lawyer in order to know how to legally proceed against such issues of the company.

Hope It Helps!

Given facts indicate that no permission was granted.  So deptt has a discretion to enter (or not to enter) the qualification in service records.  Only request and persualtion will result.  No legal right is involved.
