Dear Sir,

Whether Advocate can be appointed as full time employee on retainer basis , functioning  an Advocate for employer’s clients to represent in various courts on fixed monthly remuneration?

if yes please provide the legal provisions.

Advocate cannot be appointed as full time employee. But he can represent the employers case .  If he want to be full time employee he has to surrender his sanad and he cannot represent the employer as an advocate.

Any advocate who has registered with Bar Council of the state or member of the local court bar has give a letter stating that he is getting employed and his membership may be temporarily suspended.
