Is an arbitral award passed by China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Committee South China applicable in India? The place of arbitral tribunal was at Shenzen. As per my information China or Hong Kong are not a signatory to the New York Convention, henceforth what shall be the applicability & can such an award be placed in the Indian Court to get it executed ? We were one of the parties to the conflict, due to our absense an ex parte order against us was passed. Henceforth, what is the applicability of such an award ?
