Judge granted interim

wife has filed 125crpc and when the time came for evidence thier lawyer made a smart move by putting interim maintanace.... and court granted 12k a mnth when my salary is jus 18k.....how can i reduce it as my lawyer is sayin its of no use to go to hight court....Let her get eveidence and if she is wrong we wont hve to give maintanance.....Does I.T return come in between when shes proven wrong..... how can judge pass such a thing without askin me my expenses and daily expenses
